When’s the last time you felt like a kid again?

A Kid Again was formed in 1995 under the name, “Adventures For Wish Kids”. Their mission is to foster hope, happiness, and healing for families raising kids with life threatening illnesses. With help from volunteers and donors like Universal Windows Direct, A Kid Again puts on year-round fun-filled adventures that allow children with life threatening illnesses to feel like “A Kid Again”. The video below is one of their most recent adventures, a trip to Kings Island.

Most people don’t really know that Universal Windows Direct places such an emphasis on philanthropy because they would never expect a home improvement company to ever be interested in such a thing. CEO & Co-Founder, William Barr III, says that the whole idea behind was to do something that many other companies in this industry don’t deem to be important. He said, “We wanted to partner with A Kid Again because we understood the value. It’s not just about the children, it’s about the entire family and at UWD, were not a company, we’re a family”. What most people also don’t know is that Universal Windows Direct actually directly donates a portion of their profits to A Kid Again, helping to make events like the one above possible.
